Ruth died June 15, 1991 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Nelson Cole died February 12, 2000 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Both are buried at Batavia Union Cemetery in Batavia, Ohio. The women at the right in back row is Hattie Olathe (Gabbard) Cyphers, d/o Jacob B. Gabbard. Her husband at the right kneeling is Louis Austin Cyphers. Louis suffered from severe depression later in life and eventually hung himself out in the corn field with the harness strap from his team of horses. Hattie and daughter Alberta found him. "Kansas Jake" Gabbard, Rachael (MNU) Maxwell (must be second wife of Alexander "Mug" Maxwell), Alexander "Mug" Maxwell. Taken about 1920. Molly, Lucy and Mug are all children of John Henry and Emille Christina "Amelia" (Abshear) Maxwell. Amelia is a sister to Isaac Abshear of Owsley Co., KY. Before Jacob left Owsley County in 1879 he was aquainted with the Isaac Abshear family and family tradition has it they influenced him to go to Kansas where eventually Isaac and family moved between 1880-1885 to Robinson, Brown Co., KS. Isaac Abshear's father Abraham lived there for awhile also but was said to have returned to Virginia after his wife died From the Joel Myers Collection
