Policies regarding information found on our website

1. Our website is protected under U.S. Copyright law, it has been protected since January of 2005. This means that any material taken from this website other than for personal use in family research, is prohibited. This information cannot be used in publications or by individuals seeking to make a profit. Also none of the information on this website can be used on any website for any reason or for any person. Persons wishing to use the information found on this website must obtain permission in writing from the Board of the Three Forks of The Kentucky River Historical Association, Inc.

2. Persons found to be violating these policies will first be asked to remove said material in writing. Said copy of request will be distributed to the Board Members of the Three Forks of The Kentucky River Historical Association. Person will have 5 business days to respond. Failure to respond will result in criminal prosecution and the publishing of said material violation and the website/person violating material will be published on our website. Criminal prosecution will also involve reimbursement of attorney fees.

Our website is one of the largest in the state of Kentucky providing free material for anyone's use in their personal research.

Continued violation of our policies will eventually result in the action of protecting our website by password protecting it etc. IP addresses of violators are currently being used prohibiting their viewing of our website and the theft of material contained herein.

We feel sad that we have to enforce the policies of this website. There are persons out there who care nothing for the hard work and dedication of others who work hard to make this information available. We would hope that everyone would comply with these simple rules.
