SUDIE SMITH BOTNER 59 [born August 11, 1881 to Huram Smith and Eda Roberts], widow of Hiram Botner, died at her home at Travelers Rest at 5 o'clock Wednesday morning, December 25 [1940]. Death was caused by pneumonia. Funeral services were held at the Travelers Rest Church by Rev. Ike Gabbard and Rev. Albert C. Wildman. Interment was in Travelers Rest Cemetery under direction of Garrett Funeral Home. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Estill Botner of Middletown, Ohio and Mrs. James Treadway of Travelers Rest; one brother, Taulbee Smith of Cincinatti, Ohio and two sisters, Mrs. Callie Brandenburg of Heidelburg and Mrs. Kate Kelly of Evelyn.
