N. B. Combs, 76, Succumbs Sunday Afternoon — A three months' illness with heart disease was ended Sunday afternoon with the death of N. B. Combs, 76, 1811 Sherman Avenue at the residence. Mr. Combs had retired three months ago after working 19 years at the P. Lorillard Company and had been ill since May.
A native of Jackson Ky., he had resided in Middletown for the last 20 years. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lillie Combs; six children, Mrs. Jack Price Jr., Middletown, Mrs. Roy May, Winchester, Ky., Miss Alma Hollon, Hazel Green, Ky., Lillard and Wilgus Combs, Middletown, and Chester of Jackson, Ky.; three sisters, Mrs. S. S. Taulbee, of Hazard, Ky., Mrs. Addie Redwine, Jackson, Ky., and Mrs. T. S. Hubert, Kissimmee, Fla.; and 12 grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at the Joseph R. Baker Funeral Home, Wednesday at 2:30 P.M. with the Rev. W. H. Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery [Middletown, Ohio].

Former Owsley Resident Dies - Bonaparte Combs, formerly of Owsley County, died recently in Middletown, Ohio. He was the son of Wylie and Jane Combs and had many relatives and friends in Owsley and Lee counties, including Dale Combs, and Miss Elvie Combs of Pebworth.
