are all children of John Henry and Emille Christina "Amelia" (Abshear) Maxwell.
Amelia is a sister to Isaac Abshear of Owsley Co., KY. Before Jacob left Owsley
County in 1879 he was aquainted with the Isaac Abshear family and family
tradition has it they influenced him to go to Kansas where eventually Isaac and
family moved between 1880-1885 to Robinson, Brown Co., KS. Isaac Abshear's
father Abraham lived there for awhile also but was said to have returned to
