Deed Book A - 1806 to 1827


13 July 1807 James Todd and Polly his wife of Clay co
AND
Thomas Caldwell and George Walker of Jessamine co Ky
AND
John Lowery
Tr: Deed of conveyance - Caldwell and Walker became security for Lowery in a Bond for payment of 337 pounds in favor of John Patrick of Madison co Ky. Now the Todds desire to Pay the same out of 44 A land Jessamine co, Ky which they claim title to in the right of Polly under a devise from James Lowery to said Polly Lowery now Polly Todd.
Desc: Being part of tract of land said Decedants claim in a Pre in name of Anthony Sandusky of 400 A. Land is to be sold and proceeds paid to J. Patrick or John Lowery
Clerk: Abner Baker, who recorded the deed, and obtained relinquishment of dowry rights from Polly Todd (after she was examined privately and apart from her husband.)

25 July 1807 (And in the 16th year of the Commonwealth)

T: Deed for Chattel Estate - In consideration of 90 pounds - conveyance of "every part of my estate" being one bay horse, one bay guilden, one bay mare and colt, twenty-four head cattle, one hundred fifty head hogs, two feather beds and furniture, six puter plates and one puter dish, six knives and forks, one note on John Bates and John Amis for $119½ and one rifle gun.

15 Jan 1807 James Garrard and Elizabeth his wife of Bourbon co Ky

William Jr, James Jr, and Daniel Garrard of Bourbon co Ky
Tr: Indenture of 500A - In consideration of natural love and affection James and Elizabeth Garrard have for William Jr, James Jr, and Daniel Garrard, and also in consideration of the three having assisted by contribution of money and labor to procure salt water on a tract of land Patented by the Commonwealth of Ky to James Garrard of 500 A dated 25 July 1799, situated on Goose Creek - they are now granted one undivided fourth part of said 500 A with a positive right for each of them to enjoy the benefits of one fourth of the salt water discovered in the tract at a place called the Buffalo Lick or ford.
Clerk: William Garrard of Bourbon co, who recorded the deed, and also obtained relinquishment of dowry rights from Elizabeth Garrard (after she vas examined privily and apart from her husband.
